Hard Work: Decimononica

hard work

Hard work is the only way to describe this artisan's work in Argentina. Creating something from nothing is not only difficult, but it takes perseverance.

Confucius once said, "It doesn't matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop."

Hard Work: An Artisanal Designer's Story

Daniela is an Argentine artisanal designer who has chosen to show her craft to the world. Deciding to shine and be yourself in this world is not an easy task. But even with all the challenges she created Decimononica which means 19th century in Spanish.

Daniela puts great importance on the brand's attention to detail. This is seen in the selection of materials she uses, mainly using felt and aluminum. She forms each and every one of these truly unique items by hand. If you have never seen jewelry made from aluminum-it is striking, extremely light weight and durable.

Hard Work: Persistence

Being an artisan in Argentina is not easy. It is a beautiful country filled with beautiful and creative people, but it also has its downsides. The banks can be difficult to trust and not to mention the ever rising inflation rates. Just a few years ago the government was not even allowing US dollars to be purchased.

However, even through all the difficult times, Daniela has not stopped pursuing her dreams. Her hard work and dedication to her artisanal craft is seen in each piece of jewelry she creates. Her story is one filled of perseverance. She continues to stick to the grind, overcoming the obstacles at hand. She is a true inspiration.

When you purchase one of her pieces, your support is directly affecting change for her and her business.
