Everything from snakeskin boots, zebra print dresses, leopard skirts and a multitude of accessories has been cropping up everywhere. The resounding answer was yes! Leopard print and other animal prints are still widely popular. Most of you agree, animal prints act as a ‘go-to neutral’ and are easy to wear as an accessory or even as multiple accessories!

It seems you were all on the same page and agree leopard print is still IN! Since so many women love to add animal prints to their everyday style we decided to create a special edition animal print collection exclusively for Mariposa Skies. Giselle is an independent artisan from Argentina who makes amazing leather jewelry accessories. She is known for using only genuine leather, patching and stitching together wallets, purses, cuff bracelets, earrings, and rings. Living in Argentina hasn't been an easy journey for Giselle. Argentina has been continually plagued with inflation rates that continue to rise. As an entrepreneur and artisan she has had to struggle with what seems like a never ending uphill battle ever since she began her work.
As inflation rates continue to rise, so does the price of leather. It has been a difficult path to success for Giselle and her business, but she continues to press on using her genuine attitude and love for what she does to push her forward. She does everything by hand literally down to the stitching. Her creations are a work of colorful art.

One of the best parts about Giselle's designs is she focuses on being as eco-friendly as she can working with leather. You may be asking yourself how genuine leather can be eco-friendly? After all, the production of leather is considered one of the major pollutants of this century.
Well much of Giselle's work with leather is in remnants, meaning leftover pieces of leather from various shops around Argentina. So this means her pieces are not only unique but upcycled as well. She is creating less waste by using the leftover pieces of leather that would otherwise get tossed in the trash. Upcycling has become quite a trend in the world of fashion and creating less waste in the leather industry is a huge step in the right direction.
